Obviously this goblet is an exploration of Art Nouveau style and craft. I have always been influenced by the furniture, architecture, and jewelry from that time period. What better way to learn? The bottom of the goblet is pronged in several layers. This allows for fewer times soldering (safer) and it allows for the sapphires and garnets set in the rim of the base to be safe if repair is ever needed.
